Switching Organizations
Work across multiple organizations with one Neriyam login.
Switching Organizations#
Neriyam is multi-organization. One login can belong to several organizations (for example, a consultant who works with multiple factories, or a parent company with related entities). Each organization keeps its own data, users, settings, and permissions.
How organizations work#
- You log in with one email and password
- Neriyam loads the list of organizations you belong to
- You pick one and Neriyam loads that organization's data
- Everything you see and do — sales orders, items, stock ledger — belongs to the organization you picked
Data never leaks across organizations. A customer in Organization A is not visible in Organization B, even if you belong to both.
The "Select an Organization" screen#
First time you log in#
If you belong to more than one organization, Neriyam asks which one to open before taking you into the app.
- Review the list of organizations
- Click the one you want to work in
- Neriyam takes you to the dashboard for that organization
If you only belong to one organization, Neriyam skips this screen and sends you straight to the dashboard.
If you only have one organization#
You will never see this screen. Neriyam auto-selects your single organization.
If you have no organization#
If an admin has not added you to any organization yet, you land on the dashboard with a message asking you to contact your administrator. Until you are added, you cannot use the sales, purchase, inventory, or settings modules.
Switching to a different organization#
Once you are working inside an organization, you can switch at any time.
- Click your avatar in the top-right of the header
- Pick Switch Organization from the menu
- The Select an Organization screen opens again — the one you are currently in is marked Current
- Click the organization you want to switch to
Neriyam reloads the dashboard for the new organization. All cached data from the previous one is cleared.
If you opened the organization picker by accident, click Go Back to return to where you were.
Need to work in two organizations at once? Open Neriyam in a second browser tab (or window) and pick the other organization there. Each tab keeps its own active organization independently — useful for comparing data side by side or for staff who divide their day across multiple organizations. What happens when you switch#
- The header shows the new organization's name and logo
- The sidebar rebuilds to match the modules and permissions for the new organization
- Every open list and form reloads with data from the new organization
- Any unsaved form data is lost — save your work before switching
Always save or submit in-progress work before switching. Unsaved form data in the old organization is discarded.
How Neriyam remembers your choice#
Neriyam stores the last organization you picked in your browser. The next time you open the app on that browser, you land directly in that organization (no organization picker).
If you use a different browser or a new device, you will see the picker again.
If you lose access to an organization#
If an admin removes you from an organization while you are working in it, the next request you make will bounce you back to the picker. Pick another organization (or log out if you have none left).
